BPA is in the process of developing an online collaborative learning project -- scheduled to launch Fall 2008 and run for four academic semesters finishing in Spring 2010. The students will learn the fundamental BPA curriculum, including writing, shooting, audio, flash animation, music and editing. Some areas of study will be web media technology and streaming video. The class will culminate in the production of a thirty minute online news magazine. The project head, a well-known pioneer in web and media technologies, will work with Creative Director, Jared Martin, and BPA’s staff which will teach the curriculum.
The BPA has also contracted to partner with a major art institution and a Hollywood producer to film a documentary about the history of the institution.
A Dobbins High School 10 year retrospective celebrating a decade of filmmaking.
In the works: A BPA-sponsored film festival in late 2008.
A program in partnership with the Philadelphia Prison System for juvenile offenders.
