FILM As former Vice President of Los Angeles-based indie production group MCEG/Crossroads V Communications, Teri oversaw the company's feature film and television production and distribution arrangements –feature films totaling 10 productions while at MCEG. She and mentor John Hyde oversaw production of the final four episodes of the first season of Emmy-award winning NBC television series, "Homicide: Life on the Streets". As part of the core team that launched MCEG’s corporate consulting subsidiary, Teri shared management oversight with her partners for such entertainment entities as Cannon Pictures, Inc., UPN-affiliate KADY (Oxnard, CA) and TV syndication company, Grove Television, Inc. Teri’s portfolio also included integration of licensing and merchandising arrangements, interactive game development and music publishing. Teri’s industry service included posts on the AFMA Copyright and Film Piracy Committee and Market Advisory Committee. Prior to MCEG, Teri was Director, Business & Legal Affairs for Hemdale Film Corporation (Platoon, Hoosiers, Last Emperor, Terminator) where she managed its 180+ film library while handling the company’s production/financing arrangements, its feature film, television and video acquisitions and domestic/international distribution arrangements with such groups as HBO, Viacom and others. While at Hemdale, she also mentored up-and-coming documentary filmmakers.
YOUTH MEDIA As Co-Director of the East Lansing Children’s Film Festival (“ELCFF”), a year-round 501c3 dedicated to engaging, educating and inspiring Michigan’s youth through the vehicle of film, Teri expanded its year-round educational offerings in communications and media arts while growing its 3-day international film fest to an 8-day long celebration, screening at first-run theatre NCG Cinemas plus the MSU campus. Teri established the Junior Film Critics Club (critical analysis program for youth coupled with a monthly column in partnership with the Ann Arbor Family Press), the Directors Roundtable Series (designed to connect industry professionals with community), the TeenREEL series (programming for older youth) and the GirlsInFilm Award (recognizing young women’s creativity and contribution to media arts throughout the State of Michigan). Teri and her Festival partner Christine Nichols garnered support from the State of Michigan, the East Lansing School District, the local PBS Affiliate, NPR and others while nurturing its long-standing alliance with Michigan State University. Teri ‘s mentoring includes other youth film festival directors and filmmakers around the country who share her dedication to the positive impact that global sharing of media arts offers today’s youth.
ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP In addition to managing and operating MM film and media companies back in Los Angeles, Teri’s organizational leadership experience includes speaking engagements (organizational leadership/change, marketing and p.r.) while residing in Louisville, KY, where, as President of Saratoga Woods Consulting, she provided management consulting in the area of strategic planning and development to various non-profit entities including Jewish Federation of Louisville and the Microenterprise Development Center of Louisville. Teri most recently served on the President’s Executive Council for Arcadia University (portfolio included Institutional Assessment/Evaluation, Middle States Self-Study Design, External/Govt. Relations, Community Planning/Economic Development, Strategic Planning and oversight of University’s Planning Council). Service included Advisory Team for Leadership Montgomery County (part of Eastern Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce) where she continues to serve in her new leadership role at BPA.
