Programs

In BPA programs, young people write, cast, act in and produce narrative, documentary, musical, public service announcements or animation films, and/or digital video and Internet media in intensive 6 week, 10 week, 12 week or yearlong programs. We emphasize hands-on learning and a sense of accomplishment fostered by:

• Teamwork
• Creative explorations
• Practical problem-solving
• Digital technology training
• Active participation in professional quality productions

Once made, BPA films don’t gather any dust. Instead we take them out to the community, in exciting Hollywood-style premieres. The sense of achievement, the skills learned—all help draw young people closer to our community-based partners who provide professional social, psychological and educational wrap-around services. It’s a recipe for success, not just on film, but also in life.
